Do you want to work with children and young people in an active, varied, and meaningful everyday life? We are now looking for a 4H farm assistant/activity leader for Eolshälls 4H farm in Axelsberg.

With us, you will help create safe meetings, fun activities, and developmental experiences for children and young people. You will work closely with the farm's animals alongside engaged colleagues and members.

About 4H

4H is an organization run by youth for youth. We are an international non-profit organization for children and young people, politically and religiously independent. Our vision is that all children and young people should develop into engaged, well-being, and responsible individuals with respect for the world around them. 4H gives youth the space to grow, take responsibility, learn about organizational democracy, and influence their own leisure time.

Stockholm County 4H consists of a county office and 11 4H farms. Our target group is primarily children and young people aged 6–25 years.

About Eolshälls 4H farm

Eolshälls 4H farm is a visitor farm also run by a non-profit association with a wide range of activities. We organize, among other things, camps during school breaks, courses, and evening activities, tours, and collaborations with nearby schools.

The types of animals on the farm include sheep, horses, cows, rabbits, chickens, and cats.

About the role

As a 4H farm assistant/activity leader, you will participate in the daily work on the farm and be involved in planning, implementing, and developing our children's and youth activities. You will meet visitors every day and be an important representative of 4H.

The work is varied, no day is the same, and combines pedagogy, farm work, and organizational development.

Examples of tasks

· Plan, administer, and implement activities for children and young people (e.g., courses, camps, club activities, and holiday activities)

· Conduct tours for schools and preschools and work with events and visitor activities

· Supervise youth, e.g., high school students on internships

· Participate in daily care of the farm and animals (physically demanding)

· Collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to develop the activities

· Some administration related to the activities

We are looking for someone who

Thrives in a role where you take responsibility independently and work closely with others. You are comfortable interacting with children and young people and can create an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

· Experience working with children and young people

· Good animal handling skills (we are not looking for an animal caretaker, but animals are central to much of our work)

· Very good horse handling skills

· Experience leading groups and/or working in visitor activities

· Good ability to prioritize, work systematically, and take responsibility

· Fluent in Swedish and English

Meritorious

· Experience from non-profit organizations (as an employee and/or volunteer)

· Experience with multiple types of animals

· B driver's license and access to a car

Employment conditions

Temporary position with possible extension

Full-time 100%

Full-time corresponds to 37.5 hours/week

Evening and weekend work may occur and is a prerequisite for carrying out the assignment

Monthly salary, collective agreement exists
